The foundation's of Daisy & Iris Unique Poi Creations

Daisy & Iris was Inspired by my two beautifull daughters. My eldest Joy-Daisy Ngaraka who is named after her great grandmothers. And In between, my son Ashly-James Te Ahikaiata who is named after his great grandfathers. And lastly, my youngest daughter Iris-Jade Aniwaniwa who is my youngest and the baby of our immediate family.named after the Iris flower, green stone and rainbow..Daisy's Unique Poi was the original name I had come up with at the time. But this time, with the help of my daughter we decided to name our little business Daisy & Iris Unique Poi Creations. Background, Family & Diversity

My family are Maori, born and raised in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Ko Tuhoe me Te Arawa oku Iwi.

My creative passion for poi making started off as a hobbie back in 2015 while living and working in Australia. It was something I had grown up around when I was a child but never really took any interest in untill I got older.

A few years ago, creativity in arts and crafts became a really big part of my healing journey and now it has become my peace, a part of my expression, learning and sharing with my children.

Although our range of Poi are boldly bright and a little eccentric, we can create any colours of Poi that fit to your expressions of Interest and/or needs.

I also do plain or tradional coloured poi for use in Kapahaka and Performing Arts or to represent your Iwi or Country.

For these reasons I do offer to do bulk orders and have speacial discounts for orders exceeding 10+, just bare in mind that I am only one person and any orders over 10+ would take me between 1-2Weeks max to complete and a 5% deposit to me made to secure order. Orders over 20+ could take me up to a month to complete and a 10% deposit will need to made to secure the order.
